I have been catching the bus to work lately. One, because my car is being experimented by Marky Mark and two, it’s expensive to park in the city. So during my 45 minute (45!) bus ride to town everyday, I draw on my tablet/ipad/whatever you want to call it to alleviate my boredom. So it’s like a little visual diary in electronic form. So today’s left hand creations is a hard copy of one of my digital #busridecreations. Do you like it? Well, BIOMYLH!
My interpretation of Christmas at Bondi is that of a jellyfish. Well, why not? I think of the ocean and the beach when it’s Christmas time in Australia. Am I totally far off from the original Christmas design card sent to me by my pen friend Cathy in 1997? Again let me know what you think.
Ok here’s my version of another birthday card given to me by my very lovely neighbour Rose. I used watercolours and felt pen here. See the original below and let me know which version you think is better. Mine right? Ha!
Just playing with my new watercolour pencils so I tried using them on some sheep with attitude. By the way, I might be a little quiet next week. There’s an illustration competition I’d like to enter. If you’re an artist, illustrator or doodler, maybe you should enter it too! It’s called the Five Mile Press Australian Illustrator Prize for children’s books. I haven’t read the fine print yet but I think it may only be for Australian residents. More details here.
