As it is Easter Sunday today, I was thinking of drawing a bunny or Easter eggs or Jesus with my left hand. But then I thought, they are way too clichéd so I’ve decided to draw a flower instead. It has a Persian or Hindu feel to it so I named it ‘Floral Kundalini’. I coloured it with my toxic Sharpie markers. What do you think? Well, BIOMYLF!
I should have called this Flower in Brown Pot because that is a pot, right? Not a vase. Vases are long, elongated and sophisticated flower holders…not brown stout things like this one…But you know what? The pot is what I like the most in this left hand drawing. My left hand somehow gave the pot more of a feature – it has shadings and depth to it. Compared to say the petals (just colour!) and the leaves and stems (well my left hand just seems to have given up on them! so amateurish…). This week I used oil pastels to colour the drawing. What do you think? Well, BIOMYLH!
An Erte*- inspired drawing done by my left hand this week. With all this practice, I do believe that my left hand is getting better at drawing a variety of art styles. I think this is the best drawing so far….Would you agree? Well I like it….BIOMYLF if you like!
Ciao and toodle-oo for now.
*If you haven’t heard of Erte, he is an artist, graphic designer and sculptor from the 1920’s and 1930’s who did a lot of art deco style artwork. He is brilliant!
