Sheep with attitude

Just playing with my new watercolour pencils so I tried using them on some sheep with attitude. By the way, I might be a little quiet next week. There’s an illustration competition I’d like to enter. If you’re an artist, illustrator or doodler, maybe you should enter it too! It’s called the Five Mile Press Australian Illustrator Prize for children’s books. I haven’t read the fine print yet but I think it may only be for Australian residents. More details here.

From small things….

…big things grow right? So my thought this week is…yes Bibbi K is small and slow growing at the moment but if I keep feeding it with love, care and the right ingredients, it will grow very big…eventually. So just a couple of acorn doodles to symbolise my thoughts.

I’m having withdrawal symptoms…it’s been 4 days, 12 hours and 25 minutes since my last doodle….

Mask – 2015

Last month I challenged myself to doodle/draw every day and…I did it! I must say it’s been a rewarding exercise. I didn’t realise that I could actually draw! Amazing! I think it’s just a matter of taking the time to draw and publishing it on my blog. Inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere. I might even do it again in the next month or two. Or perhaps I could just draw once in a while and whenever I feel like it. But the problem with that is I’ll probably never get to do it. So I really need to be pushed.

Anyway, enough waffle. I’d definitely recommend a drawing a day especially to those who want to become exceptional at their craft. I know it has helped me a lot with coming up with new designs. You know what they say – if you don’t use it, you lose it. Hmm…sounds like I’m up for another challenge!
